Introduction
It's been an incredible journey of transformation for Andiamo Recording over the past year and three months. What began as a simple idea sparked by a YouTube video on building unique sound panels evolved into a comprehensive makeover. This journey taught me the value of perseverance, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.

The Beginning
Early one morning, I watched a video that reignited my passion for sound panel design. Despite never having built professional-grade sound panels before, I felt an overwhelming urge to start. This marked the beginning of a long and challenging process, driven by the mantra: "Be 1% better today than you were yesterday."

The Upgrade Process
I spent months researching and building sound panels from scratch, while also planning to upgrade our outboard gear. The turning point came in July 2024, after successfully recording Felicia Christian's project. A life-changing conversation with Sebastian "Bassy" Gilchrist and Alwyn John Singh, Andiamo's preferred session drummer, led to a partnership with Sonic Pro Audio to acquire the Lynx Aurora soundcard, which became the heart of our studio, including a host of Warm Audio pre-amps and mics.

Overcoming Challenges
The journey was not without its setbacks. I lost a close friend and co-founder, which left me uncertain about the future. However, with the support of Bassy and the introduction to Faizel Sheik Amod, a highly skilled technician and live sound engineer, we were able to rewire the entire studio and install new outboard gear. From July 2024 to February 2025, we worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect before reopening.

Reflection and Gratitude
Looking back, I realise that this journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my partner Margaret Dennis and the dedication of the Andiamo team. I learned that even as a fiercely independent person, it takes a team to achieve greatness.

Conclusion
Andiamo Studio's transformation is more than just an upgrade; it's a testament to the power of collaboration and determination. As we reopen our doors, I am reminded that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. To everyone who supported me on this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
